Mission

Mission
The Asian American Student Association aims to empower Asian American students and those interested in Asian American affairs at Georgetown by acting as a platform to exchange ideas and experiences and by providing support to the Asian American community in the areas of culture, political awareness, professional development, and community building.

In order promote consciousness of the Asian American narrative and to amplify the voices of those who embody it, the Asian American Student Association is concerned with fostering dialogue and cooperation among Asian organizations at Georgetown, members of the Georgetown community concerned with Asian American issues, and organizations committed to diversity at Georgetown.

The Asian American Student Association serves its community by conducting outreach to the greater community beyond Georgetown, partnering with local organizations that advocate for the civil rights of Asian Americans, and working with the university administration to increase the visibility of the Asian American community at Georgetown University.
