Law Student Group
Mission
Mission The Georgetown Plaintiffs’ Law Association (GPLA) is driven by a shared desire to foster interest in plaintiff-side litigation and introduce students to a rapidly-growing alternative to the traditional public-interest and “Big Law” career paths. GPLA’s mission will be to connect students to a fulfilling industry that allows them to fight on behalf of victims with unlimited room for professional growth. The GPLA believes in the value of introducing students to practitioners and thought leaders in plaintiffs’ law through social and professional events. The GPLA will follow in the footsteps of successful Plaintiffs’ Law Associations established at law schools since 2019 and act primarily as a pre-professional organization. The GPLA will seek to build long-lasting relationships between Georgetown Law students who are interested in exploring this field and with firms active in plaintiffs’ side litigation.
