We, the Black Students of Georgetown University, conscious of the educational, political, cultural, social, and spiritual deficiencies at said university, do hereby come together to be hereafter known as the Black Student Alliance.

We form this group for the purposes of cultivating a community of joy and with the aim of reconciling the deficiencies of this PWI with the safety, support, reaffirming pride, self awareness of unapologetic Blackness by infusing the student experience with Black culture. We exist in the security of our resilience!

The Georgetown College Academic Council is comprised of elected representatives from each class who foster a working relationship between administration, students, and faculty in order to help students manage and enhance their academic lives. The Council interacts with College faculty and administration regarding a wide variety of issues. The College Academic Council represents the students of Georgetown College, seeks their opinion on academic issues, and acts in their name. It has helped to develop stronger student-professor relations through the Majors Mentors Network, Dean-Student lunches, the annual College Honors, and the College Majors Fair. As it is an elected student body, the Academic Council would like to serve the College fully. Please feel free to bring suggestions, questions, or comments to the attention of its members. We are a community of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents committed to fostering healthy political discourse and creating an atmosphere of mutual-respect on Georgetown's campus and in the greater DC Metro Area. We seek to promote civil dialogue while navigating controversial political discussions, as well as to bridge the social divides between students of opposite parties.

GUMAPS is a program sponsored by the Student National Medical Association. SNMA is the oldest and largest medical student organization dedicated to underrepresented or underprivileged pre-health students and underserved communities. Committed to increasing the number of culturally capable and sensitive physicians, the SNMA is also dedicated to the academic and clinical success of medical students and pre-health students.

GUMAPS supports the fundamental academic and extracurricular requirements of pre-health students by
-facilitating participation in medical research through mentor-pairing
-increasing involvement within service projects and volunteer opportunities
-allotting tutors
-and assisting in the preparation for entrance exams of graduate health professional schools.

GUMAPS aims to increase awareness concerning ethnic health disparities worldwide, thereby ensuring a diverse range of future health professionals that are not only ethnically competent and culturally sensitive, but socially conscious as well.

Founded in spring of 1993, M.E.Ch.A. de Georgetown is a political organization with the purpose of increasing and maintaining U.S. Latino/a recruitment, retention, graduation, community involvement, and awareness.

Mission
The SFSAC is the elected representative organization of the SFS undergraduate population. As advocates for the SFS student body, the SFSAC collaborates with the Dean's Office, the Georgetown University Student Association, and the other academic councils to address issues pertaining to academic affairs, the student body in the SFS, and other initiatives developed to enhance the undergraduate experience. Additionally, the SFSAC enjoys membership on the SFS Curriculum Committee and the Georgetown University Inter-School Academic Council.

The committees of the SFSAC include Special Events, Communications, Advancement, Diplomatic Ball Planning, and Centennial. Through these committees, the SFSAC sponsors several events throughout the academic year, including the Diplomatic Ball, Trick or Treat on Embassy Row, and the Student-Faculty Banquet.

The Navy ROTC Program was established to develop midshipmen mentally, morally and physically and to imbue them with the highest ideals of duty, and loyalty, and with the core values of honor, courage and commitment in order to commission college graduates as naval and Marine Corps officers. Students of NROTC is an association that supports Midshipmen at Georgetown University to fulfill this mission set forth by the United States Navy, and become the highest quality officers as they can be.
