3. Promoting the community and interpersonal environment of friendly and good natured competitions.
4. Enjoying and learning from the strategy implications, gameplay decisions, and general ambiance of live board games.
5. Exploring new and innovative titles beyond the mainstream board games.
6. Applying the diplomatic, decision-making, and strategic skills learned through playing and applying them to our lives at Georgetown and beyond.

The mission of the Georgetown University Ballroom Dance Team is to promote ballroom dancing (both social and competitive) at Georgetown. The Team seeks to inspire a love of ballroom dancing in students by encouraging participation in lessons, socials, competitions, and performances.

The GIVES mission is to fight Georgetown stress culture and stigmas about our student body. The Georgetown University Grilling Society, or simply GUGS (the first "g" is soft, as in "genius") was founded in the Summer of 2002 with a few simple goals in mind, to create an organization attractive to Georgetown students who:

- love to grill
- love to cook and eat good food
- want to meet new and exciting people
- want to learn more about the art of grilling
- want to share their knowledge of grilling with others
- want to be a part of a special Georgetown tradition
- want to have a good time

Since its humble beginnings as a 4-person club with one mysteriously-acquired grill, GUGS has grown into one of Georgetown's most popular social collectives. The members come first, fun comes second, while food conveniently binds them together.

Spring of 2004, GUGS was co-named Outstanding Student Organization of the Year. In the fall of 2004, GUGS shared the 1st place award for Best Traditions during the Georgetown Traditions Day competition. It is without a doubt that with the continuing support of our members and fans, the Grilling Society will continue to thrive in the Georgetown community, bringing good food and good atmosphere to students, faculty, administration, and visitors alike!

The Iranian Cultural Society is dedicated to promoting interest in and understanding of Iranian culture in the Georgetown community. Through cultural events, special talks, and field trips, ICS hopes to engage with Persian culture. ICS is non-religious, non-political, and open to anyone who is interested in Iran and the greater Persian world.

Our main goal is to create and support networking activities with substantial involvement on academic, social, cultural, and philanthropic events. We aim to educate and raise awareness of present and future opportunities to build from abroad a stronger, safer, and more dynamic Colombia. Our organization strives to engage people of Colombian background together with those of other nationalities, in the task of improving Colombia's image to the rest of the world, showcasing the country's improvements over the past decade. More importantly however, and holding dear to Georgetown's ideals of mentis vita pro vita mundi - the life of the mind for the life of the world, we engage in philanthropic projects that provide financial assistance for the underprivileged children of Colombia.

The South Asian Society (SAS) seeks to meet the social, cultural, and educational needs of all Hoyas with an interest in South Asia. SAS proudly celebrates the cultural, religious, and linguistic diversity of South Asia and seeks to raise awareness of South Asian cultures at Georgetown. SAS is committed to building a sense of community among its members and exists to provide a unified voice for South Asian interests on campus. South Asia includes, but is not limited to, the nations of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
