Set in a rural Georgia high school amid the MeToo movement, John Proctor is the Villain, written by Kimberly Belflower, questions the traditional teachings of classic literature in a modern cultural context. The show is a powerful coming of age story that offers a modern spin on The Crucible, with themes of female friendship and empowerment, and the struggle to be heard in a system that does not support you.

Please note: John Proctor is the Villain contains racist and sexist micro aggressions, depictions of grooming and abusive relationship dynamics, descriptions of sexual assault, and the depiction of forced physical contact. Please be advised.
