The Annual Donn B. Murphy One Acts Festival is Georgetown’s ONLY student written play festival! This year, DBMAOF 38 will present three extraordinary one-acts:

Note to Self by Malina Brannen is a beautiful story about a community of patients living in residential eating disorder treatment. Through games and therapy sessions, Brannen lets us into the diverse, hopeful, humorous, complicated, and (above all) authentic world of the patients. Pull up a seat at the table in this story of community, support, and resilience.

The Ultraview by Anastasia Kelly is the story of Jupiter, a college professor responsible for a discovery that changed the world. This discovery led to chaos, forcing Jupiter to reflect on whether their discovery was a blessing or a curse - this internal struggle presented to the audience through an academic lecture punctuated by flashbacks.

Rewriting by Caitlin Frazier is, primarily, a love story, which explores how our personal history can affect our current relationships. Dylan explains her life story in bits and pieces to us throughout the show. Her life has been shaped by her father, who told her story for her while she was still a kid. Jane is a writer herself and draws inspiration for her work from her own experience.
