Mission The Hoya is the oldest and largest student newspaper of Georgetown University, serving as the university's newspaper of record since 1920. It is published online daily and every Friday in print during the school year when we are on campus. Each print issue also includes a weekly lifestyle magazine, The Guide. The Hoya also publishes a blog, The Fourth Edition, which provides a lighthearted take on all things Georgetown. We distribute 4,000 free copies to 30 locations across campus and the Georgetown neighborhood each week during the academic year and publish online during summers. The Hoya has been a central part of the university community since its first publication in 1920. Supported financially by the university in addition to internal revenue, The Hoya is produced, managed and edited entirely by students. Over 300 students are involved in the publication of the paper as reporters, photographers, designers, editors and business staff.
