The Asian American Student Association aims to empower Asian American students and those interested in Asian American affairs at Georgetown by acting as a platform to exchange ideas and experiences and by providing support to the Asian American community in the areas of culture, political awareness, professional development, and community building.

In order promote consciousness of the Asian American narrative and to amplify the voices of those who embody it, the Asian American Student Association is concerned with fostering dialogue and cooperation among Asian organizations at Georgetown, members of the Georgetown community concerned with Asian American issues, and organizations committed to diversity at Georgetown.

The Asian American Student Association serves its community by conducting outreach to the greater community beyond Georgetown, partnering with local organizations that advocate for the civil rights of Asian Americans, and working with the university administration to increase the visibility of the Asian American community at Georgetown University.

We form this group for the purposes of cultivating a community of joy and with the aim of reconciling the deficiencies of this PWI with the safety, support, reaffirming pride, self awareness of unapologetic Blackness by infusing the student experience with Black culture. The Chinese Student Alliance (CSA) has a two-fold mission: first, we seek to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where students can find a community, as well as explore Chinese culture and language. The Georgetown College Academic Council is comprised of elected representatives from each class who foster a working relationship between administration, students, and faculty in order to help students manage and enhance their academic lives. The Council interacts with College faculty and administration regarding a wide variety of issues. The College Academic Council represents the students of Georgetown College, seeks their opinion on academic issues, and acts in their name. It has helped to develop stronger student-professor relations through the Majors Mentors Network, Dean-Student lunches, the annual College Honors, and the College Majors Fair. The Georgetown Alliance of Fostered and Adoptee Students (GAFAS) serves as a hub for adoptee/adoption-related education and community building. The adoptee/foster experience is unique and at times isolating, and GAFAS acts as an outlet to students for belonging and personal growth.

It has become increasingly clear that there is a vacuum with regards to the resources that are readily available to Georgetown students who are interested in a career in tech. While the infrastructure for those interested in finance or consulting is well-established, GDT aims to provide that same infrastructure for those looking to work in tech. With this initiative, GDT aims to bring together a diverse group of individuals with separate interests but united under the broader technology sphere. We want to place as great an emphasis on the policy issues and regulatory challenges associated with emerging technologies as on understanding these technologies themselves. We believe that through the provision of mentorship opportunities, workshops, speaker events and access to the existing GDT network will provide those students interested in tech with the necessary avenues to pursue their interests.

The aim of the French Cultural Association is to promote interest in the French language and culture among Georgetown students and faculty. We strive to provide students of all different levels opportunities to practice their French with other French-speakers in a low-pressure and fun environment. If you are interested in this, ask us about our weekly drop-in conversation hour or our Language Buddies program! In addition, we host several events centered around French cuisine, art, cinema, and music throughout the semester.
