The After School Kids (ASK) Program serves at-potential teens in the DC metropolitan area who are making positive strides in their lives and to be catalysts for change in their community. Our youth are adversely impacted by the cradle-to-prison pipeline and may experience obstacles to obtaining their high school diploma, exploring careers, or advancing their postsecondary education. It is not uncommon for our youth to experience chronic trauma exposure, involvement in the court system, and to be over-aged and under-credited. Despite obstacles, our youth envision a brighter future through education, social action, and wellness. ASK provides programming and support to help them realize their vision.

The Alternative Breaks Program (ABP) brings together Georgetown community members in order to foster intersectional solidarity and inspire lasting commitments to service and social justice. ABP trips engage with diverse and vibrant communities through direct service, immersion, and reflection in a substance-free environment. By creating a space for sustained dialogue and action, ABP strives to build long-term relationships with community partners and bring the experience home.

We, the Black Students of Georgetown University, conscious of the educational, political, cultural, social, and spiritual deficiencies at said university, do hereby come together to be hereafter known as the Black Student Alliance.

We form this group for the purposes of cultivating a community of joy and with the aim of reconciling the deficiencies of this PWI with the safety, support, reaffirming pride, self awareness of unapologetic Blackness by infusing the student experience with Black culture. CMEA enhances the education of students historically denied access to GU because of race, ethnicity, national origin, socioeconomic status, and other marginalized identities. To live out this mission, CMEA provides a variety of intentional and culturally-relevant programming, services, and opportunities to foster student success inside and outside of the classroom.

The Operations Team supports CSJ EngageDCorps programs, student organizations, community-based learning courses, engaged research, and racial justice work through "behind-the-scenes" infrastructure and logistics. Members of the Center Operations Team will work closely with CSJ professional staff in necessary administrative and financial work, training and compliance, and other operations. Hours for each Operations team member are highly flexible and built around that student's schedule. The Operations team includes opportunities for leadership development.

The Georgetown College Academic Council is comprised of elected representatives from each class who foster a working relationship between administration, students, and faculty in order to help students manage and enhance their academic lives. The Council interacts with College faculty and administration regarding a wide variety of issues. The College Academic Council represents the students of Georgetown College, seeks their opinion on academic issues, and acts in their name. It has helped to develop stronger student-professor relations through the Majors Mentors Network, Dean-Student lunches, the annual College Honors, and the College Majors Fair. As it is an elected student body, the Academic Council would like to serve the College fully. Please feel free to bring suggestions, questions, or comments to the attention of its members. DC Schools Project (DCSP) is a tutoring, mentoring, and advocacy program that engages Georgetown students as volunteer and Federal Work Study (FWS)-funded tutors to provide English language tutoring and support for youth and adults of immigrant backgrounds in Washington, DC. The program was established in 1984 in response to the quadrupling of the language minority population in the DC public schools, as a result of the drastic increase in the immigrant population due to the civil war in El Salvador. The program seeks to improve the literacy skills and academic performance to ultimately increase the ability of the youth and adults to fully participate in the cultural, civic, educational, and economic life in US society. Fifteen student coordinators lead DCSP through which approximately 150 Georgetown students a semester have weekly commitments to one of its seven programs.

The Economics Graduate Student Organization was founded in 2014 with the purpose of facilitating the exchange of ideas and academic collaboration among Economics Ph.D. students, and giving a platform through which they can present their when ideas and projects, and get valuable feedback and criticism, in a positive and safe environment.

To this end, the Economics Graduate Student Organization organizes a weekly student seminar during which students present the early stages of their research, which gives them an opportunity to improve their presentation skills and receive feedback, both integral parts of the profession.

First-Year Orientation to Community Involvement (FOCI) is an intensive pre-orientation program for incoming first-year and transfer students. FOCI serves as an introduction to community service, activism, and social justice issues in Washington, DC. FOCI participants actively engage in community service; discover and reflect on the diverse populations, perspectives, and roles that exist in the Georgetown and greater DC communities; develop leadership skills; and become part of a community committed to personal growth through service and reflection. FOCI activities address a wide variety of social justice issues, including education, sustainability, gentrification, immigration, LGBTQ access, and hunger and homelessness. The week involves lively discussions with Campus Ministry, faculty, student leaders, and DC community members.

Georgetown Aspiring Minority Business Leaders & Entrepreneurs (GAMBLE) was founded in 2008 in order to provide minority undergraduates with a holistic approach to career planning and access to employment opportunities. Our ultimate goal is to broker a conversation about diversity and inclusion both on campus and in the workforce to combat inequality that exists across racial and cultural lines. GAMBLE supports this vision by helping minority scholars evolve into tomorrow's business leaders and entrepreneurs with the support of a strong community and alumni network. GAMBLE is completely student-run by 10 executive board members, and sponsored by the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.

The Georgetown University Armed Forces Association works to foster a greater sense of community among Georgetown ROTC cadets, the Georgetown military community, and the Georgetown student body. Additionally, GUAFA works to introduce students to military culture and challenge assumptions and/or stereotypes students may have in regards to the military. To accomplish this, GUAFA invites students to Army ROTC morning workouts, encourages members to participate in various GUAFA service events, and brings in unique speakers with military experience via our connection to the Hoya Battalion. GUAFA also serves as a support structure for any student who would like to serve in the armed forces, especially if they would like to serve through ROTC or Officer Candidate School. For those who consider the military a possible career path, GUAFA offers one-on-one mentorship to answer any questions students may have about a military career and help them through the joining process. GUAFA is open to all students with an appreciation for public service or service in any capacity so that its members can actively promote Georgetown's Jesuit Values in conjunction with the Army values for Hoyas past, present, and future.
