The Georgetown College Academic Council is comprised of elected representatives from each class who foster a working relationship between administration, students, and faculty in order to help students manage and enhance their academic lives. The Council interacts with College faculty and administration regarding a wide variety of issues. The College Academic Council represents the students of Georgetown College, seeks their opinion on academic issues, and acts in their name. It has helped to develop stronger student-professor relations through the Majors Mentors Network, Dean-Student lunches, the annual College Honors, and the College Majors Fair. As it is an elected student body, the Academic Council would like to serve the College fully. Please feel free to bring suggestions, questions, or comments to the attention of its members. The Georgetown International Relations Club (IRC) is the hub for all student-based international relations activity on campus. It is the main forum for Georgetown undergraduates to build upon their foreign affairs education outside of the classroom. There is a place for everyone in the IRC, regardless of what you formally study at Georgetown. Each year, we host a myriad of speaking, cultural, social, and philanthropic events. We are also home to the Georgetown Model United Nations traveling team, one of the country and world's most decorated collegiate Model United Nations programs.

Moot Court emulates appellate court proceedings in the form of inter-collegiate competition. Each year, the American Moot Court Association (AMCA) releases a hypothetical case that deals with one or more constitutional issues. Together we prepare and argue a case in front of a panel of judges as well as write an accompanying legal brief.

At Georgetown University Technology and Engineering Club (GUTEC), we are united by our shared interest in using technology and engineering principles to solve problems small and large. We welcome students of all experience levels to participate in our events and projects. GUTEC aims to provide opportunities for everyone to grow in efficient teamwork and engineering skills. We form teams to envision, design, and construct projects that interest us, challenge our abilities, and push us to explore the possibilities of technology and engineering principles. In addition, we host educational workshops on the practical uses of technology, field trips to sites of technological interest, speaker events on the impacts of technology in society, and advocacy campaigns for engineering education. We also work with academic departments and other student organizations to develop programs and initiatives that allow us to use technical solutions in a wide range of applications.

Welcome to GUTEC! We are the only club on campus that works in both hardware and software.

On our project team, you will gain invaluable experience in collaborative teamwork and accelerated learning with concrete, step-wise contributions to the overall project.

We also provide skills workshops that help you gain a better understanding of what engineering is about. If you are an instructor, you will also learn how to effectively share your knowledge with others.

GUMAPS is a program sponsored by the Student National Medical Association. SNMA is the oldest and largest medical student organization dedicated to underrepresented or underprivileged pre-health students and underserved communities. Committed to increasing the number of culturally capable and sensitive physicians, the SNMA is also dedicated to the academic and clinical success of medical students and pre-health students.

GUMAPS supports the fundamental academic and extracurricular requirements of pre-health students by
-facilitating participation in medical research through mentor-pairing
-increasing involvement within service projects and volunteer opportunities
-allotting tutors
-and assisting in the preparation for entrance exams of graduate health professional schools.

GUMAPS aims to increase awareness concerning ethnic health disparities worldwide, thereby ensuring a diverse range of future health professionals that are not only ethnically competent and culturally sensitive, but socially conscious as well.

Our main goal is to create and support networking activities with substantial involvement on academic, social, cultural, and philanthropic events. We aim to educate and raise awareness of present and future opportunities to build from abroad a stronger, safer, and more dynamic Colombia. Our organization strives to engage people of Colombian background together with those of other nationalities, in the task of improving Colombia's image to the rest of the world, showcasing the country's improvements over the past decade. More importantly however, and holding dear to Georgetown's ideals of mentis vita pro vita mundi - the life of the mind for the life of the world, we engage in philanthropic projects that provide financial assistance for the underprivileged children of Colombia.

Mission
The SFSAC is the elected representative organization of the SFS undergraduate population. As advocates for the SFS student body, the SFSAC collaborates with the Dean's Office, the Georgetown University Student Association, and the other academic councils to address issues pertaining to academic affairs, the student body in the SFS, and other initiatives developed to enhance the undergraduate experience. Additionally, the SFSAC enjoys membership on the SFS Curriculum Committee and the Georgetown University Inter-School Academic Council.

The committees of the SFSAC include Special Events, Communications, Advancement, Diplomatic Ball Planning, and Centennial. Through these committees, the SFSAC sponsors several events throughout the academic year, including the Diplomatic Ball, Trick or Treat on Embassy Row, and the Student-Faculty Banquet.
